Malaria is a worldwide disease that is prevalent In the tropical zone and is caused by blood parasites, plasmodium falciparum,plasmodium vivax,plasmodium ovale,and plasmodium malariae.
In Nigeria, malaria is mostly caused by plasmodium falciparum and plasmodium malariae. According to (World Malarial Report,2005; Smith, 1978; WHO,2000),Malaria has great morbidity and mortality than any other transmissible disease of the world. Nine of ten cases of this disease occur in the sub-saharan Africa and record over one millions deaths annually (World Malarial Report,2005; Africa Union Memoir, 2005).

Medicinal,plants ( Agbo Iba) in Nigeria,particularly in my village, Okitipupa are used in warring against Malaria.
INGREDIENTS
1.Ewe tea gbigbe (Dried Lemon grass)
2. Osan wewe (Lime)
3.Ewe Cashew gbigbe (Dried Cashew leaves)
7. Ehín eni ibi sowo (Phyllantus Amarus)

8. Ewe Pawpaw (Papaya Leaves)
9. Olórín (Grains of Selim)
10. Ewe Osan wewe (Lime Leaves)
PROCEDURE
1) Wash barks and leaves thoroughly then put in a pot.
2) Cut lime into two and place in the pot containing leaves and barks.
3) Pour in 6 cup of water then transfer to stove and allow to infuse on low heat for 1 hour.
4) After an hour, it should look like this..
5) Allow to cool and drink a cup in the morning and another cup in the evening for 3 days.
This concoction has been used in my village for years in treating Malaria and it isn't likely to be discontinued anytime soon as the cost purchasing orthodox Malaria drugs are high.
